I  Ice on the Beach, Acrylic on Canvas, 91 x 122cm

My work showcases my interest in environmental isues, as 
in  my work, in 'Fire and Ice.' and 'Sea Surge',my recent exhibitions at The.Jam Factory, Oxford . I make drawings, and quick watercolours when I am out, or take photographs. In the studio I make another watercolour, or develop a painting in acrylics.  I tip paint, mask and print as well as using brushes.
I aim to draw the viewer into a new encounter with landscape, expressing moods and challenging the onlooker to fresh interpretations of what is in front of them. I also  work to  stimulate thoughts and debate about climate change as well as casting new light on the environment around us.
